Scatterbrain Audio Splitter: A Unique Plugin for Rhythmic Audio Effects

Scatterbrain Audio Splitter, developed by Bram Bos, is a powerful plugin audio effect designed for iPhone. It offers a unique way to chop up incoming audio into rhythmical steps and send these slices out to multiple outputs in your plugin host. With Scatterbrain, you can create intricate rhythmic patterns and add a touch of chaos and mayhem to your music.

The plugin features two modes: SEQ mode and MIX mode. In SEQ mode, you can sequence how the steps are scattered over the different outputs, with a maximum of four. Alternatively, you can leave the scattering up to chance for a more unpredictable result. In MIX mode, you can live-mix or automate how the steps are distributed over the available outputs and trigger stutter repeats.

Scatterbrain also offers stutter and buffer effects, allowing you to add even more complexity to your audio. By specifying the probability of randomly triggering slicer or stutter effects, you can create unique and dynamic sounds.

Please note that Scatterbrain requires an AU host that supports multiple outputs to fully utilize its multi-out effect. If your host does not support multi-out, only the first channel will work. Additionally, due to the multi-out nature of the plugin, there is no meaningful standalone functionality. You will need a plugin host to make the most of Scatterbrain Audio Splitter.
